The Sea of Galilee is a lake in the north-east of Israel. It is the largest freshwater lake in the Land of Israel and in fact, is also the largest and most important reservoir of drinking water in the country. In the Kinneret area, you can find a variety of events and festivals such as the “Love Nights” Festival (Tu B’Av Festival), the Lake Festival, the International Choir Festival at the Sea of Galilee, and the Taste of the Sea of Galilee Festival (the Banana Festival).
