Information and Review of the Rokach House Cultural Center

The Rokach House was constructed in 1887 by Shimon Rockach, one of the founders of Neve Tzedek neighborhood of today’s Tel Aviv. The museum in the house presents the story of the Jews who lived in nearby Jaffa, and their dream of leaving and establishing a new, independent Jewish community in the sands, the first of its kind in the coastal plains.

The authentic house from the 19th century, is the only one left in the neighborhood, reconstructed and preserved as it was. The Rokach House presents the atmosphere of early pioneering Zionism in Neve Tzedek and daily life in that period.
