This popular promenade in Jerusalem overlooks one of the most inspiring views of the Old City, including Mount Zion, the city’s walls, domes and towers, the Temple Mount, the Kidron Valley, the City of David, and the Mount of Olives. Gazing eastward you’ll see the Judean Wilderness and beyond, on a clear day, the Dead Sea and the Mountains of Moab. The promenade gets its name from the Hebrew name for the nearby home of the Britain’s Mandate high commissioner, now United Nations Headquarters.
