The Beit Jimal Convent, surrounded by picturesque Judean mountains scenery, is believed to mark the burial site of Second Temple era sage Rabbi Gamaliel, the Apostle Paul’s teacher.
Original Byzantine mosaics are on display at the older of the sites two churches. A shop sells ceramics made by the nuns, along with wines and olive oil.
