“Hechal Shlomo” the seat of the Chief Rabbinate, is home to an impressive synagogue with magnificent stained glass windows, a changing art exhibit and a museum with dioramas and objects connected to Jerusalem throughout history. A painting of Jerusalem by famed artist Reuven Rubin is also on display. A Sephardic synagogue brought from Padua, Italy is used by a local congregation. The rooftop affords an unusual panorama of Jerusalem.
