Information and Review of the Nahla’ot Neighbourhood In Jerusalem

Constructed in the late 19th and early 20th century, Nahlaot’s 32 neighborhoods were originally established by groups of Jews leaving the Old City of Jerusalem.

The stone-built homes, many now renovated, were originally constructed around gated courtyards and water cisterns that are now shady little public parks.

You’ll find outer walls adorned with photos and stories of the original residents. You can begin your visit in the Mahane Yehuda open-air market, then cross Agripas Street and into the lanes to immerse yourself in the charm of bygone days.
