Hatzor HaGlilit is a local council located in the Galilee, at the foot of the Naftali Mountains, north of Rosh Pina, and south of Kiryat Shmona. The town established near Tel Hatzor has a diverse population and includes a traditional, ultra-Orthodox and secular population.
Events & Attractions:
A visit to the town will reveal a well-kept, contemporary place. At the top of the main road, on the outskirts of the town, is the tomb of the Honi ha-M’agel. This area serves as a pilgrimage site for many people who see his grave as a place of religious significance and as such a precursor to a successful marriage.
In the last decade, Hatzor HaGlilit has attracted a young community, and thus is becoming a new place, and, in the summer, various guest rooms are offered for tourists. Hatzor is also a central point for hikers setting out to the region’s rivers and the impressive Hula Valley.
Transportation in Hatzor HaGlilit is based on city and inter-city buses, taxis and private cars. The town has a central bus terminal for all the northern communities.
