The Amphorae Winery, founded in the year 2000, is located in a large, impressive structure in the Makura Farm, near Kerem Maharal village. The winery is owned by the Dubov and Dr. Yuval Samuel, and on the team are winemakers Maayan Kusitski and Meiram Harel, directing the Amphorae to new directions while maintaining traditional winemaking methods. The winery emphasizes ecological practices, minimizing pollution and the environmental footprint. The visitor center hosts wine meets every day of the week, which include a tour of the winery, wine cellar and archives, a cold plate of cheeses, fruit, nuts, spreads and fresh baked bread, and four different wine tastings.
