The baptismal site of Yardenit is located in the shade of stately eucalyptus trees on a serene portion of the Jordan River where it flows southward out of the Sea of Galilee.
Here pilgrims celebrate baptism as one of the spiritual highlights of their Israel visit.
Facilities include group baptismal amphitheaters, changing rooms, a visitors shop and snack bar.
