The Sea Museum (Bet Miriam) is named after the late Miriam Lifshitz, a former member of the kibbutz, who helped gather the first pottery artifacts. The Museum strives to bolster national and local heritage education, knowledge and love of the land of Israel. A variety of archeological exhibits shed light on various ancient communities that settled the area and the reciprocal human interaction with marine environments.
The museum is being developed as a leading center of marine archeology and ecology in Israel, including a center of interactive education, which exposes visitors to the marine environment and its importance.
